Todd Jones came by (on time) to provided a home comfort assessment. He wore a mask and gloves. He did a thorough assessment of the current system and the house. He explained the quality guarantees the company provides and then discussed a variety of units that would be suitable for my house. We also discussed financing. I was thoroughly impressed with Todd and he answered all my questions. After I have researched the systems he suggested, I will make my purchase decision. This was a worthwhile and pleasant experience.
Brandon was very professional in his service with checking my unit.
He explained everything to me in detail and even sent me a photo of the problem. He was very good in explaining what was wrong with my unit and gave me some options to think about.
Very satisfied with the guys at One Hour. I felt so bad for them. The attic was so very hot. And they took the time to put on their masks as they passed us in the house. They worked fast and hard. The head installer Geoffrey Cossaboon breezed right through the installation. He obviously knew exactly what he was doing. Everything went smoothly. Thank you Brandon Weaver (my trusty One Hour serviceman)! I am an 11 year satisfied One Hour customer.
Josh Padilla was great as my technician during my service call. He was very thorough and went above and beyond to meet our needs. We even found out that we were not on a schedule for twice a year. We definitely changed that and upgraded to that service. One Hour has never disappointed and I will be requesting Josh to come out whenever we need service or preventive maintenance.
I discovered One Hour b/c I was wanting my ducts sealed using their AeroSeal system. Since our HVAC system is over 20 years old and has old refrigerant I asked them to go ahead and price us to switch that out as well. Corey came out and spent several hours completing a very thorough review of our home (including load calculations to properly size the system) and then went over multiple options with me.
The price of a HVAC changeout + the duct sealing was never going to be "cheap", so I went ahead and priced checked them against another reputable company in town. One Hour offered the HVAC changeout of the same efficiency unit, the duct clean/seal, a UV light in the HVAC, Nest Thermostat, and a 10 year warranty at what I considered a very reasonable price compared to the other company and what I researched online.
They were able to install the next week and sent two guys out (Roger and Victor) who worked from 9:30 am (they drove up from Myrtle Beach) until 7:30 at night. Our house was built in '41 and has a very tight attic (see attached pic). In all honesty, I don't know how they were even able to physically switch out the system with how tight it is. I went up just to see how badly the insulation was messed up and incredibly it looked fine. I was very impressed with their work ethic, knowledge, and how respectful they were to me and my house. Every time they came in the house they put shoe covers on and cleaned up after they finished up.
Bryan and his partner just left after sealing up our duct work and they too did a great job and were very respectful of my home. They were able to reduce our duct leakage by 73%!
Next up is the HVAC and Electrical inspector that One Hour scheduled on my behalf.
While I was not looking forward to this changeout and sealing, the folks at One Hour made this process a much more positive experience. I would definitely recommend them.
